Dr. Linda Drake has earned a reputation for friendly professional eye care. She was raised in Paducah, Kentucky, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1984 from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1989. Linda is a member of the American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City, and a member of the Kansas Optometric Association. Linda sees adults and children.

Dr. Scott Drake enjoys the challenges of difficult contact lens fits and providing his patients with an easy-to-understand knowledge of their needs. His background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1991. Scott is a member of the American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association and the Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City.  

Dr. Ali Genilo enjoys caring for patients of all ages and abilities, though she has a special passion for working with pediatric patients. A Kansas City native, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from the University of Kansas. She received her Doctorate from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. 

During her time at SCO, Dr. Genilo was active in various professional organizations and received several honors, including the Outstanding Clinician Award, Clinical Skills Award, and Excellence in Pediatrics and Developmental Vision Award, as well as induction into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and Gold Key Honorary Optometric Society. 

During her externship rotations, she trained in the areas of adult primary care, pediatrics, contact lenses, and vision therapy and rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

QandA with Dr. Genilo

• 1. Explain how good you are with kids. I love seeing kids! Vision is such an important part of children's learning and development, and I enjoy ensuring that my pediatric patients are using their vision to the best of their abilities, whether that be with prescription glasses, healthy vision habits, or training eye skills in vision therapy.
• 2. Have you done any volunteer work in your community? I was the community service and philanthropy director for my sorority in college, which included planning our chapter's philanthropy events and tracking our members' community service hours. At Southern College of Optometry, I organized the school's blood drives and worked with the Lions Club to support low-income patients who needed assistance paying for eye examinations and glasses. I also volunteered on SVOSH mission trips, providing eye exams and glasses to patients in need in Belize.
• 3. Are you involved in your local church or other religious or community organizations? If so, how? My husband, Austin, and I are parishioners at Cure of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood.
• 4. Pet names and anything interesting about them.  We have a Goldendoodle, Finn, who loves long walks, socializing at the dog park, and cuddling :)
• 5. Tell me about the moment you decided to become an optometrist. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work in a profession where I could care for others, so I always gravitated toward the healthcare field. In 7th grade, my science class dissected cow eyeballs, and that was what initially sparked my interest in eyes specifically! One summer in high school, I had the opportunity to volunteer in an optical department and had the incredible experience of witnessing a little boy received his first pair of glasses. Seeing how his eyes lit up as he saw the world clearly for the first time is what affirmed my decision to become an optometrist!

Dr. Jennifer Luebbe enjoys the challenge of working with pediatric patients, many of who are unable to describe or even understand their visual needs. Learning starts with the eyes and it is her goal to provide the very best care for your little ones, as well as the entire family, as they transition through every stage of life.

A native of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, she received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where she graduated Cum Laude.

During her externship rotations, Jennifer trained in the area of pediatrics, contact lens, and adult primary care. Jennifer is a member of the American Optometric Association and Kansas Optometric Association.

Outside of Optometry, Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, two daughters and Siberian husky. She is an avid Nebraska Cornhusker, Sporting Kansas City and Royals fan.

• She has 3 children all under the age of 5.
• She sees children from age 6 months and on for annual comprehensive exams.
• One of her favorite parts of seeing kids from a young age is seeing them grow up and how their eye demands change with different activities, hobbies and stages of life.
• She is an active member of her church.
• She has a Siberian Husky named Finn who loves to run with her in the fall and winter months.
• She became interested in optometry following a paper cut to her eye in 6th grade.
• She was curious as to how the cornea heals from that type of injury.
• Her favorite part of working with kids, besides watching them grow up, is how contact lenses or their first pair of glasses completely changes their personalities and gives them confidence in school, athletics and life in general.
• Her hope is that myopia control can give patients back control in order to keep their prescriptions low and eyes healthy.

Dr. Jeffrey Enevoldsen enjoys fitting contact lenses and providing his patients the best possible vision with the latest technology. A native of Ponca City, Oklahoma, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry in St. Louis, MO. During his externship rotations, Jeffrey trained in the areas of primary care, low vision, and ocular disease management.

Jeffrey is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric Association, the Kansas Optometric Association, and the Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City.

Fun Facts about Dr. Enevoldsen!

• Dr. Enevoldsen lives in Lee’s Summit with his wife and two small children.
• Dr. Enevoldsen likes working with patients of all ages, starting before the age of 1 up to 100.
• Dr. Enevoldsen is involved and attends Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit.
• Dr. Enevoldsen was inspired to become an Optometrist by his childhood Optometrist. He was always so joyful and encouraging about the profession that it led him to pursue Optometry as a career.
• One of the most meaningful patient experiences Dr. Enevoldsen has been a part of involves his Dry Eye Clinic. With the use of new medications and the use of the iLux procedure, a patient was able to dramatically improve their comfort and vision due to their Dry Eye Disease. Now the patient is able to go about their daily life without having to constantly use eye drops, or avoid activities due to how their eyes were feeling.

Dr. Chris Cossette has a passion for primary eye care and enjoys helping his patients achieve their best possible vision. Originally from Salina, Kansas, he received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University and his Doctor in Optometry from Arizona College of Optometry in Phoenix, Arizona. His externship rotations focused on primary eye care and specialty contact lens fitting.

Dr. Cossette also speaks fluent Spanish. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City. In his free time, Chris likes to spend time with his black lab, preferably outdoors, running and playing disc golf together.
