I’ve been coming here for a few years now. I was seeing Dr Drake, he really took good care of me. Him and his wife was great, very caring and conscientious. This last appointment, I had Dr Brooke Peterson. She was amazing, she was very thorough and I felt cared for.

Probably the best medical-related appointment I've had. Dr. Enevoldsen and the staff were efficient, very knowledgable and kind. I had not been to the optometrist in many years. They took the time to answer questions about any changes in my medical history over those many years. Stephanie the office manager is great and worked with me to get some unused contacts exchanged.

We recently switched to this practice due to insurance changes, and while I was sad to leave our old eye doctor, this office made the transition easy. My daughter is profoundly deaf and communicates using ASL. Their standard practice is to use a digital/iPad interpreter, but I explained that an in-person interpreter works much better for her, especially as a young child — sign language is a visual language, and a screen interpreter is a lot harder for a kid to fully engage with. They listened, and without any pushback, arranged an in-person interpreter for her appointment. It meant a lot that they were willing to adjust their normal process based on what actually works for my daughter, rather than just defaulting to what’s easiest for them. Great experience, and we’re glad to be patients here.

Gibron (assistant) & Dr Cheng were AMAZING!!! The front desk people weren’t super welcoming when I walked in so I was unsure at first but once I got past them it was great. There were staff members with their vapes sitting out on their desks, taking hits of their vape while customers are browsing, just FYI. But Gibron & Dr Cheng were awesome enough for me to overlook all of that (at least this time lol) would recommend just for them :)

Everyone I've encountered at this office has been friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They have the latest diagnostic equipment for your eye health. Dr. Cheng went above and beyond to listen to my concerns and requests. The eyeglass techs did a great job fitting new lenses into the old frames I brought with me. Note that receiving your new lenses may take a week or more.

Dr.Ali is the best of the best! She’s been able to help me out with advanced eye issues with the PPPD and when things where out of alignment. They offer amazing vision therapy. After I retrained my nervous system and my PPPD went away, she was totally understanding and was able to answer any questions I had and adjust my script as needed. The additional staff when choosing frames are also highly knowledgeable and kind. They really want to make sure you are taken care of and feel confident in the glasses you choose! Can’t recommend custom eyes enough.

Exceptional doctors (Genilo and Chen) and exceptional customer service by eye technicians. All the ladies are extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable!! Have been going her for at least 17 years since returning to the KC area.

Amazing customer service always , but yesterday they went above and beyond. One technician jumped up and came out to the car to adjust and fix my mothers glasses since she had fallen and fractured her hip 7 weeks prior.

I’ve used Custom Eyes for two years now and I was very happy with my experience this year! The doctor is patient and answers all your questions with care and honesty. Also, Aiden is one of their assistants and I always go to him for my glasses needs! He never fails to make sure I have the perfect fit and takes his time for any adjustments I need ☺️

They are always very great. I have been coming here for a very long time and the care has never changed. That really says somthing about the kind of care and business they run.

I love Dr. Cossette! He is very friendly and goes over and beyond to get my contacts correct, and suggests options. Takes his time and not in a hurry to get me in and out…

The staff are all kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. My new glasses prescription is great. I see better out of my new glasses than I have in years of going elsewhere.

I brought my daughter in for a medical emergency with one of her eyes. Dr. Dakin was very knowledgeable about the condition and the aggressive treatment needed to ensure she didn't have impaired vision due to the condition. I appreciate him squeezing us in to the schedule for the follow up appointments. We were notified by the pharmacy that the eye drops needed would have to be ordered and he offered me a sample to get the treatment started immediately. Highly recommend this office and grateful for their caring staff. Will be returning for regular annual exams as well. Thanks Dr. Dakin and staff!

Your office was spectacular from start to finish! I am thrilled to provide a glowing testimonial for my first visit. I was warmly greeted by your receptionist, who quickly gathered my information and had me on my way to get the exam started. Dr. Dakin’s nurse, Mikayla (sp?), administered the required intake tests quickly and efficiently. I expected long wait times, so I was pleasantly surprised by how speedily and seamlessly everything moved. Every person I met in your office was warm, polite, and made me feel at ease. But when I met Dr. Dakin himself, I felt like I had come home for Christmas. Few doctors have truly exceptional bedside manner, and he is one of them. His gentle, kind demeanor immediately calmed me down (I was a little nervous!), and his articulate, professional approach inspired complete confidence. The eye exam was quick yet thorough, and I had my eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions before I could even read the bottom line (pun intended!). When I inquired about colored contacts, Dr. Dakin had two different pairs of blue lenses, saline solution, and a mirror ready for me to try within moments. To say I was excited and impressed is an understatement. Finally, it was time to pick out glasses and order lenses. Like many people, I found my insurance coverage confusing and hard to interpret. Thankfully, your receptionist made everything clear, straightforward, and completely stress-free. She turned what is usually a frustrating process into a genuinely pleasant experience. Thank you for making my yearly eye exam so smooth, welcoming, and stress-free!

Quickest eye appointment of my life, and I’ve been wearing contacts since 2005. My appt was for 12:20 and I was out the door by 12:38. I arrived early and they actually started me early instead of having me wait 20+ minutes past my appt time like every other eye clinic I’ve been to. Everyone was kind and professional. Highly recommend!

Very helpful with picking new frames. A hard and personal thing to do. She was very helpful finding frames that was the shape and size that I was looking for. And pointed out things I didn't notice.

Absolutely appreciate Dr. Dakin and his team. Always kind, caring, educated. Understanding my eyes and how to care for them is very important to me and I appreciate them taking the time and care their patients deserve.

Custom Eyes - Mission Office is an outstanding place to get your exams, prescription and frame selections all in one place. The staff are friendly and ready to help. Dr Dakin and his nurse were great and very thorough. I picked out my frames and wasn’t rushed to do so. The new glasses were ordered and came in earlier than expected. Professional services, easy to schedule online and no long waits to get an appointment!

Love this office. Dr. Dakin addressed concerns, explained tests. Staff very polite and organized. I appreciated this as hectic schedule. My appointment started on time. I need to go back and pick out glasses. I thought that would be easy but they have a big selection.
